FAITH

Luke 17:5-6 Jn6:5-8
Faith.

I would rather live my life believing there is a God and die to find out there isn't than live my life believing there isn't a God and die to find out there is.
Is having faith in JESUS really that far fetched? U trust drivers to stop? U have faith you'll wake up, or breathe or have your heart still beat.... Faith is power. The question is not if we have faith, every one has faith. The atheist has faith that his rational reasoning has removed the possibility of God. He has faith in his intellectual ability. Others have faith in their abilities, skills, connections, friends, family and themselves. Everyone has faith. The question is where is your faith anchored?

Sooner or later the storms of life will begin to blow and then the question becomes will the anchor of faith hold.....tested faith is a good thing.  Its valuable.  Peter says that our faith is like gold, as it is tested, it will begin to bring the impurities to the surface. When the impurities are removed our faith becomes more valuable. (I Peter 1:7)  that's just like life. To make gold worth more you put it in the fire; who will put their gold in the fire? Someone who knows Christ would.  We go through our trials of life which sometimes feel like fire but we come out of it better, more pure ....worth more! Straight up. Have Faith drop your fear GOD got us. Peter tells us three reasons that it is important to anchor our faith in Christ.

Our faith in Christ is unfading
Our faith can never be corrupted
Faith in Christ will never leave you

Read the Max lecado story..amazing story of a blind man.  A child gets blinded in a freak accident.... Immediately becomes depressed, all he wants to do is stay in his room..lives his life sad... His Dad never let his son give up...he tells him one day to put up some windows.. The newly blinded son doesn't want to... He's depressed and constantly feels helpless .  His dad continues to bug him AND finally the child says he'll do it... He starts off working and is upset; upset at his accident, upset at his disability, and also upset that his Dad made him do this by himself and without any help from him...... Newly blinded and frustrated working all day long on putting up a few windows he finally finishes the job.... after the child was done he realized he wasn't helpless and he could still do normal things...come to find out later that month he finds out his dad was with him the whole time no fewer then a couple feet away.
GOD wants us to have FAITH. We gotta step out and do it...OUR FATHER is always with us....just a few feet away...we learn the best lessons in life when we go through the fire and come to realize GOD was right there with us the whole time..... it truly is amazing.   Life is so beautiful

Read how the martyrs and disciples died. They were never scared. They had FAITH that GOD was with them. No FEAR.  ***People we are talking about them to this day in the year 2013  such a huge impact and all through JESUS with only 12 people he changed the world...
People say they can't see GOD and its hard to believe in him... but they believe in things they can't see everyday.  Hebrew 11:1 says "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. " Just because you can't see something does not mean it doesn't existence....think about it, If it did all of us would be brainless, who here has seen their brain??? But we know we have a brain.....; we breathe air ever few seconds and can't see it but we know we're breathing in oxygen.... Peter says that real faith is loving a Christ, you have never seen, but still know exists... we know JESUS exsists.  Even National Geographic will tell you Jesus Christ of Nazarene existed.. 

The late Great Martin Luther said "GOD our Father has made all things depend on faith so that whoever has faith will have everything, and whoever does not have faith will have nothing."  Now think about that statement ....for reals...when you have faith in GOD you know you are secure, you are his, you are LOVED no matter what you did in the past..you are loved,  the great deal theologian John Calvin  says "Faith is not a distant view but a warm embrace of Christ.....
When we are established in Christ and feel his LOVE,  not even the worst thing in life which is death is a problem anymore because you know you will live eternally, because Christ came; died, rose from the dead and conquered death ...then ascended to heaven to show us the way. John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the life.
HAVE FAITH.  It will show its self true.
