Jesus always quoted from Deuteronomy when he was getting tested.
Deuteronomy 8:2 Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.
One of God's greatest designs on this earth is the way he shows us our own hearts....its not what other people believe about us but what we believe about ourselves.
In the biblical story of Noah there is 2 things missing. ..No Sail and no rutter.... that means they were just at the mercy of the flood. That's true Faith. Totally trusting in God.
That's how life is; when the storms and floods come, just trust God. He will bring you through on to the other side and when you get there you will KNOW it was HIM alone who got you through.
